The FEMP held the first meeting of its Governing Board


The Board of Governors of the FEMP has held the first regular meeting after the Tenth Assembly of the Federation last September, which were unanimously approved the appointments of the various governing bodies and institutions, including the presidents and vice presidents Working Commissions and representatives of the FEMP in the National Commission for Local Administration.



After the Governing Board, the Mayor of Seville, Juan Ignacio Zoido, stressed the climate of the meeting consensus and unanimity in the decisions, consensus and unanimity, has pointed out, that should be emulated by all the organizations that represent the Spanish municipality.
 
Working Committees
 
The FEMP will this mandate with 25 working committees, two fewer than in the previous mandate, which will be responsible, among other things, to develop the resolutions adopted at the Tenth and boost the activity of the Federation in each sectoral areas they represent.
 
A total of 625 local elected officials, including Mayors and Councillors of Municipalities, as well as presidents, vice presidents and other representatives of County Councils, Town Councils and Island Councils participate in the tasks assigned to them each of these groups.
 
Telecare renewal of the Household
 
The Governing Board has given approval to renew the cooperation agreement with IMSERSO continuity that home telecare service in 2012 is already underway in a number of Spanish municipalities and currently benefiting almost 250,000 users , elderly or disabled.
 
The current Household Telecare Program (TAD) is a statewide initiative that was launched in 1993 after signing a collaboration agreement signed by the FEMP and IMSERSO. This program is implemented in 13 regions and in the cities of Ceuta and Melilla. There currently are 50 specific agreements in force with 238 local authorities, including Councils, County Councils, Island Councils, Councils and Associations.
 
This new agreement will allow local entities attached to the framework agreement the signing of new agreements tele-home, with exceptional and temporary and with a term of one year, and so continue to provide uninterrupted service to support among the elderly and persons with disabilities.
 
 
Call of CNAL
 
The President of the FEMP also announced at the press conference after the new government's request, once you take possession, to convene the plenary session of the National Commission for Local Administration (CNAL) to address the skills and funding Local Authorities.
 
Juan Ignacio Zoido ask the Government explained that the opening of negotiations to define "once and for all" new framework of powers and adequate funding. This negotiation is necessary and urgent, according to him, because the current situation threatens the stability of local entities and the provision of services performed.
 
Similarly, recalled that the FEMP reiterate the Government's request to take extraordinary measures and transition to address the urgent problems that support the municipalities, including the delay of 5 to 10 years from the deadline for the return of negative settlements local participation in government revenue (PIE).
